As we establish our capability in the region,
we have taken an integrated approach to
leadership, with the recent appointment
of
Marcus Freeman
as
CEO of Canaccord
Genuity’s Asia-Pacific Business
. In addition to
overseeing our Australian operations, Marcus
will now drive Canaccord Genuity’s coordination
efforts with
Alex Tan, CEO of Canaccord
Genuity in Singapore
, and lead efforts in
Beijing and Hong Kong, to facilitate a seamless
approach to providing our differentiated service
offering to clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
In Melbourne, we welcomed
Daniel Baohm
as
Director of Corporate Finance
. Daniel brings
more than 11 years of experience and has been
involved in over 200 separate transactions
across a broad range of sectors. Also joining
our
Institutional Equity Sales
team are
Mark Hardman, Martin Baker and
Steve Kestel
, each bringing a wealth of
experience and relationships to Canaccord
Genuity.
Edward Montgomery
will lead
Australian equity sales in the European region
from our London office. Ed has more than
15 years of investment industry experience
covering buy-side, equity analysis, equity sales
and spanning London, Australia and New York.
Clive Ginsberg
has joined the institutional sales
desk in New York. A native of South Africa,
Clive has more than 25 years of global securities
industry experience spanning portfolio
management, financing and strategic consulting
in the natural resources sector. With deep
relationships in Australia and North America,
Clive will support Canaccord Genuity’s global
roadshow and institutional sales capabilities.
In Singapore,
Ms. Lam Siew Hwa
has joined
Canaccord Genuity as a
Director of Corporate
Finance
. Siew Hwa brings more than 10 years
of corporate finance experience in Southeast
Asia, having spent the earlier years working
on initial public offerings and secondary
fundraising transactions, with the last two
years focusing on mergers and acquisitions
transactions, with United Overseas Bank
Limited’s investment banking department.
Prior to this, Siew Hwa was a key member
of the strategic investments and corporate
planning team at ComfortDelGro Corporation
Limited.
Ms. Leong Huey Miin
also joined
Canaccord Genuity as a
Director of Corporate
Finance
. Huey Miin brings more than 10 years
of corporate finance experience in Singapore,
having spent over the past eight years working
on initial public offerings, secondary fundraising
and advisory transactions in OCBC Bank. Prior
to this, Huey Miin was working as Assistant
Director in the Corporate Finance Division of
the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
With an expanded service offering and diversified sector
coverage, our Asia-Pacific capital markets team is cultivating
a strong pipeline of activity across sector verticals.
